Things I'm Obsessed With Right Now

Everyone, everywhere is obsessed with at least one thing in life. As a writer, I'm obsessed with A LOT of things, so I figured I'd mention my top ten obsessions.

Obsession # 1: Friends

The TV show, not the people (although friends are the number one thing on my most treasured list...hmmm maybe that will be my third blog post). I started watching the show a few months ago and loved it. I've recently started watching it again, every night from 11 to 1 (thank you nick at night) and struggle to stifle any insane laughter spells. My two favorite episodes are The One Where Everybody Finds Out and The One After Joey and Rachel Kiss. I laughed for like five minutes straight when watching those episodes.

Obsession # 2: Old Things

Give me a 100-year-old house and I'll walk around like a zombie. I saw the entire Faberge collection at the Taubman Museum of Art at the end of June and I absolutely loved it. I also spent some time on the Sweet Briar College campus and was mesmerized at its beauty. Upon seeing the Chapel for the first time, I was completely mesmerized. I spent a good ten minutes just taking in its beauty.

Obsession # 3: Country Music

I could probably go on and on and on about country music. Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, the list continues on and on. If you're looking for a song, I'm 100% sure you could find your perfect song if you look at the very very long list of country songs and artists. I don't know how many times a Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood or Rascal Flatts song didn't meet my needs. In fact, I find it very hard to choose just one song. I love to sing. It's my second favorite thing to do. So karaoke, open mic nights, talent shows are awful because I never ever know which song I'm doing. That's usually decided pretty last minute. You can bet it's a country song, though. Will love country music forever and always. ;-)

Obsession # 4: Talking to my Best Friend

Right now my best friend and I are 336 miles apart (yes I did map that out, because I am obsessive). Now, you guys don't need to know all the crazy antics of my personal life, because well a) it's personal and b) would take way TOO long to explain it all. So anyway, my best friend is 336 miles south of me, and long distance relationships are NOT my cup of tea (I struggle miserably with them), I don't talk to my friend often. So, I am very obsessive. NOTE: There is a difference between being obsessive and stalking. I do NOT stalk people. I may be crazy and weird, but to the point where it's creepy weird. REPEAT: I do not stalk people or animals. Obsess about them, yes. Stalk them, no.

Obsession # 5: Chain Cat Sharks

One of the other things I had the pleasure of seeing while on the Sweet Briar College campus, was the chain cat sharks that one of the professors in the science deparment has been working with the past few years. They were the cutest things ever (yes, sharks are cute) and I couldn't believe that I held one of the baby sharks (yes, I held a baby shark and yes all of my limbs, fingers, and toes are indeed intact). Chain cat sharks are very tiny compared to sharks we all know and like. The best part: you can hold the sharks!

So I was supposed to write about my ten obsessions, but that didn't happen. And if I don't go to bed soon, this post is going to extremely jumbled and unorganized, so for now, here are my five fav obsessions.

Don't forget to comment. What are your top 5 favorite obsessions?
