Social Media: Even the Non-Conformists Can't Resist
I've always tried not to be a cliché, stereotype, or follower of trends. I'll follow societal dos and don'ts, I'll be professional and mature, and I'll be sweet and kind, but under that exterior is someone who won't take no for an answer, can be overly sarcastic, is a little crazy, and always in over her head. So it's no surprise, that after swearing I'll never touch another social media site, a few months later go and do exactly that. It all started in 8th grade I believe...maybe 9th. The timing doesn't really matter. I chose to create a Facebook account. It became really useful in staying in touch with friends in other towns and states (and the games were pretty fun, too). Eventually, though, it wasn't all what it was chalked up to be and I had pretty much stopped using it. Then twitter came along and I had dismissed it pretty quickly. I was barely using Facebook at the time, so another site that involved following and tweeting didn't real...
